Lunch Program Information

Brady Public Schools

The Brady Public Schools Meal Program is governed by Board Policy 3012: School Meal Program and Meal Charges. The following is a chart of the prices for the 2024-2025 school year. As always, we are glad to have visitors eat with us. We would appreciate an early call if you are planning to eat. All visitors must pay for their meals prior to eating with us. We cannot charge your meals to your child’s account.

Payment Options.  Families may pay for school lunches using cash, check, or the online system, EduTrack.

Meal Charge Policy.  The district will notify students and their families of the policy for charged meals, meaning meals received by a student when the student does not have money in hand or in his or her food account.  This policy applies to students who receive meals at the free, reduced, or full rates.

Notice of this policy must be provided in writing to all households at the start of each school year and to households that transfer to the school during the school year.  Notice may be provided through the student handbook, student registration materials, online portal used to access student accounts, direct mailing or e-mail, newsletter, the district website, and/or any other appropriate means.  Notice of this policy will also be provided to all school staff responsible for the enforcement of it, including food service professionals responsible for collecting payment for meals at the point of service, staff involved in notifying families of low or negative balances, and other staff involved in enforcing any aspect of this policy.

The district’s policy on charged meals is:

If a student has a negative balance exceeding -$25.00, the student will be provided and charged for a limited “courtesy meal” option, such as a plain ham, turkey or peanut butter sandwich.

No student will be denied a meal.  Brady Public Schools has a “pay as you go” food service. Funds should be placed in a student’s account BEFORE meals are purchased. Automated emails from Edutrack are sent when an account reaches $10.00 and again when balances reach below $0. If the account drops below $0 Seconds, Extra Milks and Juices will not be allowed to be charged. If the account reaches an amount of -$20 the household will be called by the Superintendent. The school district will make every effort to collect unpaid meal charges. Payment plans may be established at the discretion of the Superintendent.
